A network of thousands of trained local representatives is supported by over hundreds of full-time specialist staff, and there are Unite offices in every major town and city in the UK and Ireland.

Unite offers substantial support to its members in times of need as well as on an ongoing basis. Care at work includes extensive support ranging from representation and advice to training and information. Unite also supports members' health and safety at work, and is committed to making workplaces as safe as possible, but if an accident happens also provides cover and legal support.
